[Highly rated reviewer]this is a very good teen update based on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. it is essentially, a romantic comedy, that more than hits all the right comedy notes as well as the romantic ones. Kat (played by Julia Stiles) hates everybody which causes a slight problem for her gorgeous sister Bianca, when their dad tells her that she can't date until Kat does. in comes loner Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) who's the unlucky guy who introduces Kat to the dating scene while Cameron Jones (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) tries his luck with Bianca. The young cast are impressive with Ledger and Stiles being on top with their excellent conversations that includes bickering and sweet-talk, whilst Gordon-Levitt surprises as Bianca's sweet but geeky admirer.
well worth renting out.

Not BadBy a customer from Heathfield , 25 Jan 2009Not much to say really, a nice little film which is worth a watch. Rather predictable, a few funny bits. Heath Ledger as usual was great.
MomentsBy a customer from Norwich , 20 Jan 2009Aimed at the younger teens for sure, I watched it, given the Heath Ledger tagline it came with.
With moments of comedy, and some touching emotions dotted throughout the films storyline, it wasnt as difficult to watch as I first thought it would be.
A family/teen flick which makes an easy couple of hours in any cold and rainy weekend
An enjoyable teen comedy.By a customer from Hamilton , 16 Jan 2009An enjoyable teenage comedy, with an unsual level of more adult / universally accessible characters, themes and jokes.
