[Highly rated reviewer]I shall keep it brief, as I have already wasted 2 precious hours of my life on this film at the cinema. But it might not be too late for you, so: AVOID THIS TERRIBLE, AWFUL MOVIE!
From Mr Entertaining Big BadaBoom Blockbuster, Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Day After Tomorrow) you would at least expect some, even if low brow, fun and enjoyment. Nope, none, not a sausage.
What's wrong with it? It will be quicker to tell you what I did enjoy about it, namely the very tasty ice cream I purchased of the Ben & Jerry's store in the foyer and having my hubby next to me pulling the same faces of disbelief and cringe- it made me feel better.
If at the point where someone asks 'Why is old mother cold?' you don't actually feel like shouting 'I don't care!', then congratulations, you did better than me. And maybe you can come up with a better answer to why she is cold than 'Because she's a clever wise woman who has teleported herself out of this pile of rubbish into somewhere much much better...'.
Dreadful and one of my 5 worst films ever.

Himalayan rasta mammoths egypt cooking toshBy CaptainNemo (5 reviews) , 28 Sep 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideFrom the frozen tundra to the deserts of the nile our heroes go on an enormous trek to solve those unanswered questions; like what are all those mammoths doing suddenly appearing on the empty wasteland where our heroes apparently live? they arrive and stand around admiring the view, then there is The Mammoth Hunt, then some other people from a long way away arrive and kidnap the vacuous heroine for some reason, then our heroes set off for what looks suspiciously like egypt, which takes ages to get to as its a long way, not to mention meeting lots of ethnic looking people here and there on the way, then suddenly they are in egypt, complete with sort of egyptian looking boats and plenty of desert, which must be a relief to our heroes as much of the previous half hour is spent struggling thru a blizzard. Somewhere there is an encounter with a large tiger which is a bit of a let down frankly as the tiger just goes away without really eating anyone, a shame cos our heroes could do with having a bite taken out of them it might improve their acting. I forget what actually happens at the end but the good guys win, the sun shines, the birds tweet, the ethnic guys are ethnic etc.
YEs please mister misterBy a customer , 23 Aug 2013Now lets all calm down, no where does it say it is set in 10,000 BC apart from the title which might just be how much it cost to make the film in YEN/EUROS/FRANKs. I thought some of the real tigers deserve some credit for their skills at looking 4 times bigger than a hut and a human when we all know they wouldn't even come up to my shoulder. Good on you honey tiger bears. I salute you. When I saw this movie wuis on Netflix, I thought what a coincidence: I'll watch it agen frend. Because I dont feel like you are okay to review a film after only watching it once, you totally can't judge after one sitting just. Watch space jam just after for trippy effects. One day when I have finnally come to terms with the pain I felt when I was mauled by a elephant I will be able to watch this film for a third time. And without tears. Good bye, enjoy your life cause life aint CG its dollars and cookies and hope.
Prehistoric yearBy sassywriter (8 reviews) , 20 Aug 2013A review from my 14 year old son, who loved it:- I found the film brilliant because the Nakus, Yagahls and the other tribes represents the year well and their quest interested me.
