Enjoyable, but nothing special.

101 Reykjavik has a nice atmosphere about it. Having been to the city this summer, the warmth (not literally) of the people and the place came through. Hilmir Snaer Gudnason is likeable as Hlynur but both he and the film have something in common - they both amble about without too much direction (though, of course, that might be the point).

The emotional sentiment of the film seems a little forced to me and borders on the schmaltzy, but not to the point of overkill. This is definitely a Sunday evening sort of film, as long as you don't mind your Sunday evenings containing full frontal nudity and the occasional sex scene.
