Dissapointing to hear in USA 5 Nov but release here not till after Xmas; at least you can go and get the original book as a great present - BETWEEN A ROCK and A HARD PLACE - good story & great original photos section. Mix well with Danny Boyle & it should make a great 4*+ film- Was this review helpful to you?

Slow and narrow storyline
By Simon1973 (3 reviews) , 01 Apr 2013Maintains your attention. Thought the pace was quite slow and thought the storyline and focus was quite narrow. Worth a watch though- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 17 Mar 2013A perfect pop video of a film. Absolutely loved it although initially didn't think I could watch it due to subject matter. I found myself gripped and inspired by one mans zest for life in hellish conditions. Much better than I expected.- Was this review helpful to you?

127 Hours - My Review
By DaddyTank (203 reviews) from Ulan Bator , 01 Mar 2013I couldn't have hated Slumdog Millionaire much more than I did and that goes for all Danny Boyle films after Trainspotting, so I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed this tale of an extreme sports outing gone wrong. It's pretty short and sweet...up until the point where it goes wrong and then the gear change is very effective. Essentially this is the same story as Touching The Void (an excellent film and book) but well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

Never felt trapped watching this cracking tale
By davidginsberg (53 reviews) from London , 30 Jan 2013Fancying something nice and cheery last night we decided to watch this Danny Boyle film about a trapped hiker who cuts his own arm off to escape from a boulder pinning him to a canyon wall. Now the story of a trapped man confronting his demons has been done before often not terribly successfully in films like World Trade Centre but here you have Danny Boyle directing. Hes by no means a director without his faults but he does bring a touch of star dust to his films. He tackles any subject and brings an element of the music video to liven up the story. Here the bulk of the movie is the excellent James Franco by himself trapped in a canyon. Boyle manages to introduce a good blend of suspense, reflective moments and fantasy to really bring you into the story. For what you would imagine is a hard going film it is surprisingly watchable. It also comes in at a perfect 90 minutes. A really good watch!- Was this review helpful to you?
