    Surprising French Thriller

If you see a stranger film than 13-Tzameti this year, I would be surprised. This little French thriller is bag of tricks and initially feels like an early David Lynch film as the plot is a complete mystery as a young builder renovating a roof finds himself reduced to desperate measures when his elusive boss dies of an overdose, ending any chance of payment.

The builder finds a letter, with a paid hotel room and train ticket for a job his boss was going to attend, cue inevitable stealing of identity. This takes the central character Sebastien and the audience on a mysterious journey. When the mystery and job is revealed, the plot unfortunately becomes a little formulaic but is still always watchable and shocking.

I would recommend 13 to anyone it is a very interesting, although flawed, little movie.

The european film scene does it again

The opening scenes did not prepare you for the movie. A very different thriller. What a plot. Glued until the end ofthe movie. The storyline was very original The actors protrayed the situation in an beliverable way.
