An Action Packed film,
It features breathtaking wire-work, swordfights, amazing martial arts action, a spaghetti western style soundtrack, and a romantic plot.

(41)14 Blades is a must see if you like kung fu with a plot
By a customer , 06 Sep 2012This movie is great.
The storyline is strong and follows through from start to finish.
I am very impressed.
I've held onto this film for nearly 4 months!
The kung fu is impressive too.
I have brought the DVD from Amazon as it has to be a part of my collection.
Rent this if you like a kung fu film with a good storyline, plots and good martial arts. It reminds me of the film 'Battle of Witts'.
The bit I wasn't too impressed with was Tao Tao and these ghost like powers. Could've done with pure fighting there.
The DVD quality is excellent as well.

A great movie if there's nothing else on real tv.
By papatez (293 reviews) from folkestone , 26 Apr 2012The director was really working hard and pulling every rabbit out of the hat on this one but failing miserably to produce a creditable movie. How the hero of a period movie of the Shogunate era produces a box of tricks that reminded me very much of the briefcase in 007's 'From Russia with love' is totally beyond me. Not only did it contain every kind of weapon that your average agent would need but it also contained machinery (power source never really disclosed!) that winched him out of danger when the need arose. I'm usually a great fan of martial arts movies but this left me totally cold- Was this review helpful to you?

Just watch it!
By a customer , 20 Jan 2012Exciting, fantastic action scenes, and worth watching.
Initially the subtitles change a bit too fast, but that's mainly just the intro back story.
It's just great fun to watch and very enjoyable if you like swords and action movies.
Well filmed in many sections, very well choreographed!- Was this review helpful to you?

Pure quality
By a customer , 12 Dec 2011If you are looking for an action packed movie with impressive fight scenes than look no futher.
The film also shows a lighter side of how a warrior trained to kill from a young age can have a lighter caring side too inbetween hacking his foes to pieces with a variety of weapons.
My only gripe about it is at points if you are not paying attention properly the subtitles can run away with you a bit and you have to check back to make sure you haven't missed anything important (But then again I did watch this in the early hours of the morning, so it may just be me)
Overall this film is a great investment of your time- Was this review helpful to you?
