[Highly rated reviewer]I've Seen every bruce willis film that he has ever made or had a cameo apperence in and i can say that this is definately not the worst film bruce willis has ever starred in, lets not forget the period after die hard where bruce willis could have ended up as a b or c list celebrity if his career had not been revived by pulp fiction and then following up with twelve monkeys, remeber those terrible films where he tried to shed his die hard image, blind date, striking distance, hudson hawk. anyhow.....my review on the film.
16 Blocks is a wonderful thrill ride with lots of action/suspense and mild comedy. Any Bruce Willis fan would love this like they did Hostage. Willis plays Jack Mosley, a drunk/hungover cop that seems to have lost his touch. He gets all the scrap jobs that no one wants and one of these jobs brings him straight to Mos Def who plays Eddie, a very hard to understand, very talkative guy who has apparently witnessed something and is due to testify at 10 sharp. It's about 2 hours until he has to be at the court house which is 16 blocks away and a hell of a lot of cops standing in the middle. Mosley doesn't entirely know what to believe, the kid or his ex partner of 20 years but he puts his faith into the kid and the thrill ride begins. Hands down the best dirty cop film I've seen in a while.

Brilliant FilmBy a customer , 16 Mar 2013We do like the Bruce Willis films and again this film did not disappoint us. It felt like a thriller and who could he trust. A film that we would recommend.
Character IntentionsBy TheAtkinsFamily (15 reviews) , 04 Jan 2013Not seem many of Willis's newer films, in this he plays the aged, depressed, alcoholic NY cop very well. Without saying anything of the plot I really liked this film for the unknown intent of the main characters actions until revealed a bit later than you find yourself asking; why. Action wise this is not die hard 5, but plenty for the story and setting which I found a little more inventive than most (except for a bus re-run).
Block busterBy Robinski (152 reviews) from Glasgow , 05 Dec 2012Richard Donner, long-time TV stalwart and director of The Omen, Lethal Weapon and Superman (the original) brings us a tense cop thriller starring Bruce Willis, Mos Def and the ever-reliable David Morse. There's nothing taxing plot-wise, but the characters are well sketched apart perhaps from Mr. Def's, which is a bit of a checklist and his affected vocal style is unnecessary. Willis ably essays the ageing cop who could so easily be John McClane after thirty 30 years of bad breaks. 16 Blocks won't reinvent modern cinema, but it's worth 100 minutes of your time, especially for Willis fans.
good movieBy amancalledalex (25 reviews) from coventry , 15 Nov 2012Good movie. Willis plays a cop who is trying to get a witness to the courthouse which is 16 blocks away. However getting there is not as easy as it seems.
A Must Watch!....By a customer , 07 Oct 2012Brilliant Film about a New York cop(Bruce Willis) given the task of taking a petty criminal(Mos Def) to court but a contract is out on the criminal for making a deal to testify against another cop before a grand jury. Fast Story line and action galore as the Honest cop decides to save Eddie from a hit squad chasing them. Willis is superb as is Def!!........Well worth watching if thrillers are your thing.!!..........5/5
