Basically a rip off of Escape from New York and The Warriors with elements of The Village People thrown in for good measure. Has you can imagine from that blend this film isn?t to be taken seriously and this is more than apparent from the stupid plot (I won?t bother explaining it). If there was ever a film that qualifies for the label ?so bad its good? then it?s this one.

Highlights from this film include the roller skate gang (complete with knee pads), the Cabaret gang (I won?t spoil this magical moment for you), the 80s hair, the awful dialogue and the biker leader who walks like he?s just crapped himself. If you enjoy over-the-top performances and unintentionally hilarious comedy then this is a must.

For the sheer entertainment value then this film gets 5 stars, otherwise it?s worth probably at least two stars for the use of pre-development, derelict landscape and for the presence of blaxploitation legend Fred Williamson (Black Caesar).

  • The Warriors + Escape From New York + Mad Max = Dull

I really wanted to like this film, but despite some uber-camp silliness, homoerotic costumes, random guy playing drums for no apparent reason and a birthday cake, it's just a bit dull.

Shame. The sequel's even more boring, so don't bother with that, either.

Dig out your copy of Warriors, Escape From New York or Mad Max instead.

2 stars for being so unbelievably camp.

  • Ripping off two movies dosen't make a right

I like cheap sci fi fare but the Bronx Warriors commits the worst crime of it's type...it's boring

Taking the Warriors and plunking them on bikes with a sprinkle of Escape from New York sounds like it could work only it seems as if everyone was in it for the paycheck (and not much of one judgeing by the budget.

The first odd choice was setting the film in 1990 what were they thinking? it was made in 1982 way to date the movie guys with an 8 year shelf life

I only watched this due to enjoying the New Barbarians (bad film but good kind of bad) which was the follow up movie from this films director and brought over many of the same cast.

Bronx Warriors has its share of odd moments (random drummers in opening scenes who just disapear) but they can't help the pacing an downright shoddy action scenes.

It's all rather disapointing considering the strong setup and different positions of the fueding gangs only for it to meander until the rather exciting finale (by then it's all too late)

Prehaps the direct sequel will fare better - Escape from the bronx but I doubt it considering it was featured on MST3K

Loved it - so uncool in a cool kind of way. 80's meets future with bad acting but soooo entertaining it kept me watching!

Someone please stop me laughing!! Boy that was awful. A blatant rip-off of the Warriors. the leader Trash is modelled on Swan from the Warriors. The script is ridiculous; Anne says 'Dont let them take me away' Trash 'Who?' Anne 'nobody', and he accepts that response. Also whats with the lopne drummer at the beginning. But what made this film lose any credibility that it maybe clinging onto was the tap-dancing gang, who kicked the ass of the main gang. And the guy called hotdog who rides around in a rig in the Bronx...why??

this film is for pure comedy value.

The lead guy in the movie looks like and walks like Frankenstein and gets away with some of the worst acting in movie history.
