Paul Miller (Paul Rudd, 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, FRIENDS) has struggled as an actor in Hollywood for years and, having decided to commit suicide, hires a film crew to document his last two days. The director giving the job of filming Paul’s suicide ponders whether he can allow Paul to die without trying to prevent it. Director and writer Sean McGinly takes a wry look at both the Hollywood film system and the complexities of making an independent film in this comedy drama. Paul Rudd puts in a skilful performance as his character assesses his life and searches for meaning and hope, while the characterisation of the other main players is excellent. Often ironic and darkly humorous, 2 DAYS is an entertaining and thought provoking indie black comedy.
