Did not meet expectations
By timtim (13 reviews) from Tunbridge Wells, England , 11 Oct 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
I had high hopes for this. Yes its cell shaded (like Vexille from the same director, which is a much better film than this two parter) but the animation just felt uninspired for a new HD anime feature.
The second part is marginally better than the first story wise, but the execution of both is a bit lacking compared to other features released recently. More could have been done with the story, animation and probably a different set of voice actors and generally more effort in the production would have gone a long way.
Disappointed!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 28 Jan 2013I Enjoyed the excellent animation and the two simple short stories. Would very much like to see more stories in this style.- Was this review helpful to you?

Seriously diabolical drivel: Avoid!
By missionimplausible (4 reviews) , 22 Nov 2012Rarely am I compelled to write reviews here. Even less so, a bad one. But quite honestly, the best use of the disc on which this laughable mess is printed on, is to serve as a place mat or dangled outside to act as a bird scarer. There are absolutely no redeeming features to comment upon. In summary, it's worse than a truly terrible cut scene from an early Final fantasy console game, but not even as pretty to look at. Half a star rating denotes 'painful'. Time stealer is just as accurate. If you feel the urge to waste 128 minutes, stare at a cardboard box instead. At least you could listen to some decent music whilst you do so. Uggghhh, the horror.- Was this review helpful to you?

By MrToad (5 reviews) from Nottingham , 22 Jul 2012A very good idea with lots of potential .much of which was sa dly not exploited resulting in a mundane film containing every cliche in the book. seen it all before done better.- Was this review helpful to you?

Very disappointing
By Morbius (35 reviews) from Glasgow, Scotland , 11 Jul 2012Shallow storyline, poor voice acting and unexceptional animation mean this film is only worthy of one star.
I expected better quality as this is advertised as an anime feature. Very disappointing.- Was this review helpful to you?
