Most helpful review
24 at its best
By Liz from Blackpool, England , 31 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This really is great viewing. Usually by the 3rd series tv shows have run out of ideas but this series of 24 is justas fresh as its first. Kiefer is back as Jack Bauer and he has just 24 hours to stop a mad man releasing viles containg a deadly virus all around America. He also has a new partner called Chase plus Jack's daughterKim is now workingat CTU. Plenty of tense action along the way to have you on the edge of your seat as you wait to seeif Jack can save the day once again- Was this review helpful to you?

(262)Painfully Boring and Unrealistic.
By Tranced (135 reviews) from Bridlington , 05 Jan 2013This is simply the most painful series ever made. This is the most painful of the series that I've seen so far also. I had to switch off halfway throught the series. Series 2 was showing promising progress from the rather dull series 1. But this is so bad it surely was made up as it went along. The only good actor who plays Kim Bauer even disappoints in this which is a shame because she made the previous 2 series worth watching for her gripping storylines. Jack Bauer survives even more impossibilities. The characters are so unrealistic. It really is pathetically boring. I can't believe this kept going after this poor performance of a series. Avoid at all costs unless you're under the age of 14.- Was this review helpful to you?

Many faces from the past will not be returning in future series after their demise in Series 3.
More, please!- Was this review helpful to you?

A first class series
By Mickle (5 reviews) from Kinross , 28 Dec 2011This is a first class series. It has none of the repetitive incidents of the first series. Just fast, convincing action throughout.- Was this review helpful to you?

Gave up on this half-way through...
By a customer from London , 23 Oct 2010I liked series one and thought series two was OK, but series three was poor.
I'd always thought the dialogue/script was cheesy, patronising to the audience and clichéd. In series one and two I put up with it because the action and the story were good. But in series three you're forced to couple this with a completely implausible story; its full of holes, double-crossing, double-bluffs, long cons and finding any excuse to bring back characters from previous series. It was like they had a plot line for a 90-minute film and were just adding as many unnecessary layers as possible to string it out for 24 hours. I actually found it quite insulting and gave up after hour nine.
24 has lost its way and there are much better shows out there.- Was this review helpful to you?
