By james jackson from kenilworth , 01 Jun 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
WOW i'm still watching the new series of 24 (day 4) on sky, but this is fantastic.
The biggest difference with this series is that this time round, unlike with day 3, you actually start caring about the other characters involved, like jack's new woman, and her ex-husband.
there are no gory torture scenes in this series (as opposed to day 2) there is nothing that will want to make you squirm and look away form the screen, so you will want to keep on watching this till the end.
this is definitely adrenaline fuelled, action packed, fast paced drama at it's best
Just a bit of advice,
If you do rent this title, (and i reccomend you do), then book a couple of days off work after, 'cos you may want to watch it all in one go.- Was this review helpful to you?

O. M. G...!
By PrancingPony (31 reviews) from Surrey , 29 Jul 2011One word: AMAZING. I hate giving 5 stars to anything because it suggests 'perfection' which we all know does not exist...but this deserves it.
Not one boring minute from start to end. Puts Hollywood 'blockbusters' to shame when they can't manage that for a couple of hours, doesn't it? Yep. The plot twists will make you hyperventilate...you will never ever guess what will happen next, I guarantee it.
Some people have criticised it for the 'coincidences'. Well this has been a criticism (minor) throughout the series. But then again...look up world changing events throughout history and you'll find many coincidences..so...
24 is for people who are seriously into espionage, political and military intrigue...if you're looking for a love story or the good guys to have their way...look somewhere else. The only love stories in 24 are intermingled with bullets and blood...just the way we like them. No soppy rubbish...
There's so much accuracy here...if you don't know your F18 from your F16 then maybe you should stick to your Delia Smith vidoes on YouLube because us in the know know you send an F18 in order to intercept cruise missiles.
This is for men...and makes no apologies. Of course it's also for women who like to intermingle in a man's world...
Lastly: the best President ever is in this series: puts Obama to shame ten-fold. This is what Obama was supposed to be like....!!- Was this review helpful to you?

Stunning, as ever
By CelticViewer (129 reviews) from Huddersfield , 28 Jan 2011This is the fifth season that I've seen ( 1, 2, 3 and the last most recent one).
It is as brilliant as the others and a really interesting theme running through it deals with parents and children in relationship. I've only seen the first third of the day so far, but can't wait to see how the rest pans out.- Was this review helpful to you?

Rolling rock
By a customer from Liverpool , 27 May 2010Just as any other 24 series, season 4 starts off at a fair pace but truly lifts off in the later hours. And this really lifts off, with all of the tension and emotional hits you have come to expect.
The only gripe with this season, for me, is that the twists and turns along the way were very predictable. Whether that's me getting used to how 24 operates or simply that the writing lost it's cleverness a bit.. I'm not sure. But it doesn't cancel out any enjoyment.- Was this review helpful to you?
