1st January 2012

There are only so many times Jack can save the day regarding bomb threats nuclear or otherwise. Only so many times there can be a power struggle at the White House. This season has more on Jack's roots and his family- his dad and brother. Which adds a little something to his character. But I think the producers were right to bow out for good at season 8. You'll see also in the extras DVD in season 6 that the writers have gotten bored with the whole CTU set-up which is why Season 7 is based around the FBI. The writers even admit they were getting bored with things and wanted to shake this up a little. Marisol Nichols is impressive in his season (Nadia Yassir)...and the ensemble White House staff. Still would like to see Bauer eat or take a dump- a long running joke between 24 fans.

About the reviewer: twosoddingcats

Living in SW London with my two tom cats and writing my first novel about my ethnic roots. Multi-cultural: Italian by birth to an Irish (Belfast) father and Croatian/Jewish mother. Huge appetite for film and theatre and a great script. Can't take Tom Cruise seriously anymore after all the rants against psychologists and his Scientology. Even though I am part Jewish, don't find Woody Allen films amusing at all (and still think he's a creep for marrying his partners adopted daughter!!). Wish someone would push talentless Jim Carrey off a cliff.
