Missing a little somethingBy Ben (35 reviews) from Watford , 13 Sep 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Up to now I have been blindingly amazed by the quality of 24, but this one has toned that enthusiasm down a little.
It definitely lost its way on the second half of this series.
I even found myself impatient while watching it and wishing it would end soon.
It's definitely recoverable though!
In fact it has left me hoping they end all this middle-east terrorism stuff, and move onto a different theme.
There's only so many times I can watch the president be voted in or out of power, and only so many times I can watch Jack capture a bomb from terrorists hands after shouting:'Tell me where the bomb is!' to everyone on his way.
It seems they are missing out on opportunities to make thrilling viewing. They are building up great plots only to have them fall flat on their faces.

Great Box Set :)By a customer from London , 22 Dec 2008I really enjoyed watching 24 Season 6. I can't wait till season 7 comes up for rental.
It had to happen...By a customer from Wokingham, , 26 Nov 2008Well I'm amazed it took until series six, but finally they've done it: a poor series of '24'. This entire series is nothing more than a re-working of the previous five and while it contains all the same elements that made it's predecessors great, it serves only to make this particular serving feel tired and washed up. It does appear to pick up for the last few episodes but by then it's too late. Regardless, I cannot criticise! Like I said - I'm amazed it took until series six, and let's face it: if you're watching the sixth series of anything, you're going to watch it whatever I say! Here's looking forward to series seven and (I hope) a return to form...
Excellent !!!!!By a customer from North East , 20 Nov 2008Jack in top form as ever. If you have seen season 1 to 5 then you know what to expect. A brilliant piece of entertainment and I eagerly await Season 7.
Should '24' quit while its still at the top?By a customer from Harrow , 15 Nov 2008I have been a loyal fan of '24' from the very first UK televised episode. I have a long admired Keefer Sutherland portrayal of Jack and have watched and understood why his ruthlessness and bitterness has grown with every new episode. I wondered how Jack was so alert and fit, ready to respond to his best standard following years in Chinese confinement and only a few hours to recover.
I still enjoy the surprises hidden in the plot as it rolls its way through the hours, always trying to guess who the enemy within may be.
I find my self troubled by questions such as; Is the '24' concept reaching the end of its vibrant and exciting life? Should Jack be allowed to find a truelove and retire to a protected location and live happily ever after?
Jack looks tired and the series is beginning to look the same. I believe its time for Jack and his pals to take a well earned retirement and quit whilst they are still near the top.
Let us remember the series at its best and not continue until nobody wants to watch it anymore. Its been good Jack, but its time to move on and hang-up the badge.
As for the Bonus DVD - forget it... A waste of time in my opinion as it appears to be a deceitful ploy to get the viewer to watch and buy a different series. This bonus DVD was not for me.
