    [Highly rated reviewer]

I have loved the first 7 seasons it has been fantastic and edge off your seat heart racing action and i have the up most faith that season 8 will be as good, i strongly recomend 24 to any one who likes action, and suspence tv series. I always wait untill 24 is on dvd so i can go straight t thje next series instead of waiting a week lol hard t keep myself from having sneakie peaks on sky one hd, Hope season 8 wont b the last but if it is then a big clap t the producers etc for keeping 24 so good and from goin from strength t strength with each season it couldnt of been easy but the hard work as well paid off as far as this big Jack Bauer fan is concerned, although dont bthink 24 could continiue without Keifer Sutherland.

I only watched this as I had watched the last 7 seasons and I wanted to see how it all ends and what happens to Jack (the ending I thought was a let down)...Set in New York City, 'Day Eight' unfolds in the United Nations as President Allison Taylor (Jones) negotiates a peace treaty with Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor- the brilliant Indian actor with really high Jedward hair from Slumdog Millionaire)....this then follows the usual 24 pattern: the President has to make decisions that put her Presidency under threat....the people you think are the bad guys aren't really the real bad guys...blah blah blah...Jack tortures some people all for the greater good. O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) saves Jack over and over.... and systems analyst Arlo Glass (John Boyd) puts in a nice quirky performance as the I. T. geek. The CTU set is impressive but I found myself staring in disbelief at the acting of COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.) who's acting skills seem to range from arching an eyebrow when he wants to show something bad is about to happen to looking confused....he also looks pasty and pale, like he's made out of wax....and then we have Agent Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) - I won't even go into the Jack and Renee thing....but Jack's actions towards the end are really over the top.....I found myself bored throughout this....glad they didn't do a season 9. Oh, and it wasn't even shot in New York....that's all CGI....

Really enjoyed this - the change of scenery to New York worked for me. The end really delivered a twist that made the whole box set a great watch, typically 24 superb

The two main reasons I subscrible

1 - No point in paying £££s for box sets of TV series I'll only watch once

2 - I prefer the quality of blu-ray but don't want to pay the price.

If i want to watch DVDs I'll buy them in Asda for £2. It'll be cheaper and I can watch it whanever and as many times as I want.
