Taxi telly
By Owen (56 reviews) from Clapham , 26 Jun 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This tale of three New York cabbies, all being affected by the repercussions of a serial cabbie killer, had potential but ran like an overtly long television drama.
There's an ever so slightly egotistical and self-indulgent guest appearance from the executive producer Spike Lee. Which leaves you thinking "Get your priorities right buddy".
Rodrigueze's character though is unfortunately very average and just a tale that aims to shock but doesn't really go anywhere.
Good to see Danny Glover and Pam Grier on screen and giving warming performances. The old pros proving a plus point to a film which is poorly directed in a few places.
Unfortunately nothing to special.- Was this review helpful to you?
