This is a beautiful film with almost no dialogue and therefore few subtitles. Sit back and enjoy the the journey this enigmatic couple undertake. Almost a masterpiece.

Pure Art
This is one of the beautiful, well made and genuinely touching films I have ever seen. Despite subtitles, the trade-mark minimal speech of Kim Ki Duk makes it easy to forget that the film is in another language and allows you to sit back and just fall into the film.
Honest acting, an emotionally appropriate soundtrack, a clever, whitty plot that has moments where I laughed with love for the characters and winced at the violence done to them, which contained none of the graphic gore usually found in todays movies and was utterly vital to the development of the characters.
This is a film that seems to have been made with such care. No moment of this film is wasted or less well crafted than the one before.
The fantasy in this film openly welcomes the bittersweet reality that is genuine human interaction but left me with a sense of joy and hope which is a rare thing to experience in film today and a credit to Kim Ki Duk for his genius. -
