A good nights entertainmentBy blue50tony from south glam , 21 Jan 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Dont be like me and ignore this movie because of the title. Costner and Russell are great in this robbery and action film. A very violent and very funny in parts movie, the leading lady "Courtney Cox" looks very yummy and will please the guys.
Try renting this one, you will be surprised - its very good.

Very average and unevenBy Selfy (105 reviews) from Newcastle upon Tyne , 20 Jan 2009A bunch of Elvis impersonators rob a Vegas casino, the job goesa awry, there are double crossings and two old friends go head to head for the money. Throw in a sexy housewife and her savvy kid, plus the legend that is Kurt Russell, and you've got the ingredients for a stylish, memorable thriller.
What you get, however, isn't quite the sum of it's parts. At times a straightforward crime thriller and at others a cartoonish display of laughable violence that doesn't fit the tone, this is a flick that never achieves it's full potential. From the overplayed opening heist with a ridiculously OTT gun fight to the final showdown in a warehouse/dock environment that has Ice T swinging upside down firing off machine guns like he's in a Punisher comic, none of the action really rings true. Shame really, since the performances aren't bad at all, even in terribly cliched roles. Kurt has the right amount of swagger, bad boy attitude and heart, and Costner impresses as the villain of the piece.
Overall, don't rush to get it on your list. It'll pass 90 minutes, but you'll hardly be riveted.
Great filmBy a customer from Paignton , 11 Jan 2009I never thought kevin costner would look sexy dressed as elvis. Here i am proved wrong.
Great film, great cast, set out in the nevada dessert. Never thought i'd see countney cox arquette get away from being monica gellar but she suprised me.
Well worth a look.
3000 Miles To GracelandBy MichaelAdrian (1 review) from East Harptree , 24 Aug 2008Possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen (at least, one of the worst 'big' films). The idea of a comedy thriller with Costner and Russell as crooks in Elvis gear at a convention quite appealed to me, but this image proved to be misleading, because it only featured in the first third of the film, the rest of it being a tedious road movie. It's not funny and it's badly written, with no satisfactory development of, or insight into, the leading characters - in places there is no logic whatsoever. It's loud and flashy, all style over content, with lots of indiscriminate killing, and I imagine the director is a fan of Tarantino. But, sadly this is no 'Reservoir Dogs'.
And its all downhillBy Rev (2 reviews) from Crumlin , 13 May 2008From promising beginnings this film just loses its grip towards the end. I love the outfits, the cars and the music hence my genrous rating, but in the end it failed to deliver the goods. A missed opportunity, maybe a prequel could help with the character development?
OTT is good sometimes.By superba (62 reviews) from London, UK , 13 Nov 2007As an obsessive of Elvis, Kurt Russell and sideburns, I felt I owed it to myself to see this. I wasn't disappointed, because I'd read a few reviews and knew what was in store. Overblown, silly shoot-outs and something of a confused plot - but Russell, Costner and Cox-Arquette hold it together very well (with the help of a curvier body-double for her, bless). No idea what the crazy CGI scorpions are about though, no idea at all.
