A very poor thrillerBy DJM666 (276 reviews) from Walsall , 28 May 2012

[Highly rated reviewer]What could have been at its worst a watchable movie ends up being a mostly boring, underwhelming and tedious movie, with no tension or suspense and dull characters (there are only really three main characters in the film and you are not given any reason to care about any of them).
It is all very predictable, very little of interest happens during the movies 82-minute runtime, and the ending is really poor with nothing ultimately explained or resolved (I don't mind a bit of mystery or an open ending to a film, as long as there is some worthwhile build up during the rest of the film, which 388 Arletta Avenue does not have).
The three recognizable faces in the main roles just about make it bearable viewing (Nick Stahl, Mia Kirshner and Devon Sawa), but none of them put in anything resembling a good acting performance, and both Mia Kirshner and Devon Sawa are only in the film for a limited amount of time.
In the end it just feels like a very average mix of better films like The Strangers, Hidden(Caché) and Alone With Her, and is one of the worst movies of the first 6-months of 2012.

terrible movieBy DANNIbubbler (1 review) , 15 May 2013Absolutely awful....if you're watching in the hope you'll find out who the murderer is, don't bother it ends as badly as the rest of the film!!
Don't waste your timeBy Curmudgeonfolk (1 review) , 14 May 2013Absolute rubbish. Like a good book with the last chapter missing. A detective where they don't find the criminal, a love film that ends in an unresolved dispute. Dear oh dear...
No rhyme or reasonBy a customer , 25 Apr 2013This film was spun out so much it lost the plot if there was one. It just about held my interest but I kept hoping for more.
