Classy X-FILES-ish sci-fi drama
Sharp and smart
Returning from the best series finale ever, season 4 kicks off with the aftermath of 50:50 and the emergence of more P-positive citizens of Seattle as Jorden Collier's 'Utopia' starts to gain some shape. Excellent twists and plotlines as the ever expanding 4400 join to create a super race to make a new world and NTAC battle to save mankind whilst protecting their P-positive loved ones. Half of the suspense is finding out who took the shot and discovering what ability they have or if they weren't so lucky. This show was very ambitious but pulled it off brilliantly.
Surprising plot twist with 'The Marked' which shows why this show was so much better than Heroes and also gives us a chance to see a darker (and sexier) side to NTAC agent Tom Baldwin; shirtless scenes help as well. Sadly though last episode leads little to be desired from this TV gold as won't spoil the amazingness but pens to flowers?!? That's a rubbish ability!
Sillyness aside, all sci-fi fans should watch this show as it was pure genius rather than sci-fiish pop fodder (Bionic Women, I mean you) and all non-sci-fi fans should watch this show so they can come to the realisation that they are sci-fi fans. Original, funny, entertaining and always keeps you in suspense. Please come back!
Dont leave it 'High and Dry'- welll that cliche doesnt work... i dont no if that is even a cliche... anyway, great series, and its all building up to something,.... then it got cancelled! ANother great Scifi show cancelled.... i just hope... i beg... for them to atleast finish it, in a straight to DVD movie thing.
Good series, watch the extras on the last disc.... they are quite good too....
If you liked the previous seasons you will like this one more. Its slightly better.
Never going to be a all time classic but i wish it lived on. - give it a watch.
The 4400 is one of the best sci-fi show I have ever watched (and I have seen my fair share). It tells the story of 4400 people from different time periods who was abducted and returned to earth and given special abilities by unknown beings. The series follow their lives and shows us how they cope with their new found powers, it also shows us the view from the government's point of view as they try to control how these people are integrated back into society.
If you like intelligent sci-fi and good drama then this is a must see. Series 4 is the final series as the American network have cancelled the show, (seems to be the norm these days with anything good...think firefly, BSG, etc)
Once again, if you like good intelligent sci-fi with believable characters and excellent acting, this show is a must see!!!
Excellent series, gets better and better.
i can honestly say its a must see series you will be hooked from the begining to the end
and want to see the whole lot . RENT IT it will be well worth it .

not dissapointed with the lastest series of the 4400 can't wait for the next!
well obviously if you are going to watch the 4400 series 4 you would have watched the previous 3 and this is so worth watching - totally excellent the best series yet - mind blowing, i just couldnt watch them quickly enough.
Several years ago, a friend loaned me a boxed set of Babylon 5, warning me that there was only one season of the show, and that everything was left unresolved. At the time, I was a fan of The 4400 and felt sure that such an engrossing show would continue for several years more, giving the writers time to work out the story lines. Sadly, I was wrong. The 4400 is the story of what happens when 4400 people who have vanished over the course of about sixty years are all returned at once, in a mysterious ball of light, on the shore of a lake near Seattle, Washington. We learn that the 4400 have been taken to the future and then returned to the present with extra abilities, such as telekinesis, healing powers and telepathy. The US government first interns them, then releases them but keeps tabs on them through NTAC - the National Threat Assessment Command. As they use their abilities, some of the 4400 learn why they were abducted and returned: to change the future and save the human race from destruction. As the plots develop, we see individuals coming to understand how life has changed forever, due to humanity's new abilities to, among other things, heal the sick and heal the planet. The 4400 are perceived as a threat by the US government, but they are not the only ones who want to thwart the 4400 movement. The plot thickens dramatically when 'promicin' - the substance found only in the blood of 4400s, and which gives them their abilities - is made available to the general public. The US government makes it a crime to take promicin. At the same time, a faction from the future would like to prevent the 4400 from making changes to the course of history, and they launch several offensives to this end. At the end of the final season, the fate of humanity is hanging in the balance. I waited eagerly for the new season, and then learned that the program had been axed. If only the produces had seen fit to make just one more (maybe double-length) episode to resolve all the stories. Even a novel would be welcome, so long as I could get answers to the many questions raised! But neither has appeared. I recommend this series highly but would warn you that it will leave you desperate for answers about what happens next.
Excellent series, gets better and better.
I started wathing 4400 before Heroes, and after 3 series of Heroes I've seen how many ideas Heroes have taken from the 4400, and how the story of 4400 has held more or less together, compared to Heroes. The 4400 differs as it ask how would people act if they had powers, to the ones that don't, and the idea of an injection to give people powers has been stolen from this by Heroes. This goes into more to the consquences of the injections and the underground movement of people with powers., with the goverment and the main 440 group. On the main, the program is how people deal with powers or with people with them. The only problem is this is the last series, it was cancelled after this, so a few plots are left unanswered (the other group from the future). If you are fan of the 4400, watch it, if not satrt from the beginning.
