3-Disc comedy box set featuring the films, HITCH, JERRY MAGUIRE and 50 FIRST DATES.
HITCH - Desperately trying to win the affections of a society girl, Albert Brennaman calls in the services of Hitch, New York's premier dating doctor. Meanwhile, gossip columnist Sara Melas begins work to reveal more about the mysterious love doctor, only to discover that he is in fact the man she has been dating.
JERRY MAGUIRE - Jerry Maguire, a slick, high-living sports agent, is tired of the shallowness of his profession and wants to live a more fulfilling life, however his new outlook doesn't mesh with his agency's ethics, and he is promptly fired. Left with a single friend, one client, and a long road ahead of him, Jerry discovers something more important than money.
50 FIRST DATES - Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) works at a Hawaiian Sea World park as a marine biologist. He enjoys the company of women and spends his time picking up tourists. One of the tourists he befriends is Lucy (Drew Barrymore) and unlike the rest of his flings, who only survive the afternoon, Henry is keen to meet up with her the next day. Unfortunately when the next day arrives, Lucy can't remember ever meeting Henry and he soon discovers that, following an accident, she suffers from short term memory loss. Every day he has to woo her again and again and trust that she falls in love with him every time.

Only the grumpiest viewer could fail to be charmed by this sweet comedy. Featuring one of Adam Sandler's least goofy performances, it's a simple and undemanding story, with genuine warmth beneath the slapstick. In a plot reminiscent of Groundhog Day, Drew Barrymore plays a car-crash survivor whose short term memory loss means she wakes up every morning with no knowledge of the day before. For laid-back, would-be suitor Sandler this means repeating their first date over and over again, an amusing concept laced with poignancy. While both leads are likeable, benefiting from an easy chemistry established in The Wedding Singer, it's Anger Management director Peter Segal's subtle balance of humour and heart that really lifts the film.

this is a very funny film, and the chemistry between adam sandler and drew barrymore is wonderful. my daughters think that this film is the best that they have seen. 50 first dates is ideal for a girls night in for my daughter and her friends with cola, popcorn and a pizza delivery.
This was a poor film with a weak plot. Don't waste your time watching it. It is predictable and very AMERICAN.
Anne Hathaway, star of recent box office hit The Devil Wears Prada, is set to feature alongside Steve Carell in a new movie entitled Get Smart. Hathaway could feature as Agent 99 in the film, which would be a remake of a 1960s sitcom about a secret government agency. She has made the transition from teen-orientated movies such as The Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted to critically acclaimed projects such as Becoming Jane and the Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain. Meanwhile, Steve Carell, who... Read more
