This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be--it's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will. When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

Go and See It!
This is sweet, funny and unpredictable. I saw it at a free screening and loved it. The cast are great, the story line is funny, charming and horribly true, and the soundtrack is fab!

A rather unusual love story.....
I REALLY like this film. It's rare to get a film that is devoid of corny mush.This film explores the concept of love, and allows a glimpse into the reality that even those men and women that 'don't want anything serious' are not immune to be hit by love hard and deep when the right person comes along and pulls at the heart strings!.The actors were really well selected, the soundtrack was absolutely fab and the plot will ring true for many men and women out there. The only thing I think could have been done better is the way the sequence of flashbacks jumped all over the place(from day 400 to day 2 and so forth, it got really jumbled with a lack of continuity to it) This movie was funny and warm and it was refreshingly exciting from the usual stuff Hollywood releases.Watch this, you'll be walking with a smile on your face ! Who knows maybe like Hansen's character you too will burst out in song and dance in public and see a very young Harrison Ford when you glimpse your reflection in a car window too!
PS. As the movie narrator says This movie is NOT a love story, so perhaps I should mention that in case the title misleads anyone (LOL). -
