Most Heart Wrenching War Film Ever!!By JaseEFC (1 review) from Yateley, Hampshire , 22 Mar 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]I have seen them all, all the good and Epic War films from The Longest Day to Saving Private Ryan but I have to say I have never seen a War film like this, if you can get on with the subtitles then this is the tops War film made to date, it had it all, the small comedic parts to try and take your mind away from this being about War to the harrowing scenes of War!! 71 Student Soldiers, no older than 18 holding a School till back up troops arrive, (reminds me of The 300 Spartans) but instead of fighting for Glory these young lads fought and died for their Country. The Director of this film deserves major credit as do the Actors, The Battle scenes are amazing and so realistic. I am not afraid to say it but tears fell down my cheeks in a film that portrayed so much honor and bravery from these young lads. BEST WAR FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!

NOT TO BE MISSEDBy Mazvol (2 reviews) , 26 Apr 2013Really enjoyed the film , great acting ,action and story. made a change to see a gritty film that was not littered with non stop bad language as well.
An amazing and courageous film, watch it!By MarkBeeManchester (5 reviews) , 21 Apr 2013This film is one of the most powerful and moving films I have ever seen. John H. Lee deserves major acclaim for making this film and bringing this story into the public conscious. I would rate this film easily alongside Band of Brothers / Saving Private Ryan / Brotherhood in terms of sincere and deeply emotional storytelling. The character development is very clever, and small lighthearted moments between the bloodier more moody scenes set the characters just right. You really can feel a lot of love for the characters in their relationships with one another. The battle scenes are ferocious and brutal, and the close quarter fighting scenes hit your nerves like a sledgehammer... If you are interested in the Korean war or just admire soldiers who have the guts to stand against impossible odds, make time to watch this film, it is one of the greatest last stand movies you will ever watch!

Came for TOP, stayed for the story!By BlueBird92 (1 review) , 04 Apr 2013I will be honest, I only watched this film because I knew Choi Seung Hyun (T. O. P) was in it but I found the film to really be above my expectations. I really enjoyed it and found myself unable to look away. It was truly incredible that these events were somthing that really took place. I really felt for every character and by the end my heart was breaking. The acting was amazing and the way the movie was shot made it feel much more real to me. I really suggest you watch this movie as it is very enjoyable and something that will stay with you for a long time. If the only reason you wont watch this movie is because of the subtitles then you are rediculous. Get over yourself and watch it!!
