A massive disappointment. The cliched showbiz hopeful plot is more Showgirls than The Jazz Singer. Eminem has little chance to show any acting range as he is only asked to show mannerisms ranging from gormless to stupid looking. The wit he shows in his videos is noticeably absent. He is a rare talent in a world of slick but dull Justin Timberlake-alikes and deserves another chance on the big screen. 8 Mile fails to go the distance.
