Best Thriller of 2007

I must say I loved this film, where Al Pacino plays an excellent part as an FBI psychiatrist who has 88 minutes to solve the mystery or he dies. This has you wondering who the bad guy is as things happen to Al Pacino that make him think that it could be anyone. As with most films there is the typical twist at the end, but there are little clues that help you along the way if you can spot them and not take notice of the red herrings that throw you in the other direction.
If you are into mystery and suspense then this is definitely the film for you- Was this review helpful to you?

Dog Days
By Brigante (1 review) , 04 Oct 2012You gotta make a living right? It's a bad day at eight in the evening with a cold one for you but it's a bad feckin couple've weeks for Al on set for this one. The scripts just ain't out there, with the huge amount of pressure for a film to succeed in this climate and 'bankers' have complete control.

Bad hair day!
By Noobie (1 review) , 26 Sep 2012Implausible characters, clunky plot, stilted dialogue, whopping continuity errors and a ridiculous hair style! I enjoy watching Al Pacino overact (it's what he does) because it's never dull, but his performance couldn't redeem this stinker. If this portrayal of forensic psychiatry/psychology is remotely like the real thing, then it would be completely discredited. Even the minor roles are implausible from the dumb cop to the pouting Dean of the University, who must have taken inspiration from a sexy librarian in a porn movie. I find it difficult to say anything good about this movie, but watch it (if you must) just to marvel at Pacino's barnet!- Was this review helpful to you?

By Jamdown (12 reviews) , 04 Aug 2012This film was very poor Al Pacino is one of my favourite actors but on this occasion his acting was poor so was the rest of the cast the director and writers must have been on some kind of crisis in their lives to think this would make money It was full of holes in the story with no engagement of audience you just did not care about the story or characters at all This is one to avoid at all cost unless you are a dire hard fan of Al Pacino films- Was this review helpful to you?

88 Minutes: 'Good Acting a Bonus'
By a customer , 02 Aug 2012Impossible even to imagine a bad film with Al Pacino in it. Here he plays a forensic psychiatric professor, told not by a doctor, but by a kiler, that he has 88 minutes to live. So the movie plays out virtually in real time, conforming to a sub-genre of this type, very popular this millennium. If Pacino has a fault it is that he likes to be so much at the centre of his own movies that the performances of other actors tend to fade into the background a little. Even so the entire cast does well, and Pacino, still active and appreciating the scent of a woman, takes the opportunity, on the way to capturing the killer, to hug and kiss almost every actress in the movie, but now has sex offscreen as befits the dignity of his age; though his charisma and full head of hair still impress.- Was this review helpful to you?
