I thought this a beautiful sad and artistic insight into how humanity as in good can be distracted into bad.... loved it

This film portrays not every aspect of the subjects discussed but much more a targeted view of the characters and story that unfolds. As someone else said, it is sad and artistics. I would add, it conveys a reality. The reality of life and actions that many undertake on similar or same paths of behaviour, that have similar consequences. The film features the innocents (who could be anyone), the lead character who is intelligent enough to know better subject to his environment but not without choice and the idiot who represents a starkingly large portion of society- the one who is mad/ does things for the wrong reason and can't physically see what is important in life (at the extreme end also represents those who care little for the value of a life). Madness mixed with dark humour and a tense psychological ride- always easy to judge from the outside type moments. The film and it's message are hard hitting unless you are blind or simply don't care. From what I've seen on the streets and what we all see growing in the news each day, this film should be a social wake up call and lesson to all. In rich or poor countries it's always there and the film conveys the subtle reality that it could happen anywhere in any town. Seems to reflect well on the USA and their gun laws (those who believe they have the right to own military weapons). Enjoy, music at the end suits the finale well. Hats off to the less well known composer.

Similar to Crash in it's intertwining of stories and how humans enter into downward spirals of misfortune, this film is well worth the watch. It is a sad tale of unfortunate circumstances, kids with guns and the all too predictable outcome of desperation mixed with a desire to be recognised in an often uncaring world. Simple and effective, the camera work lends to the feeling of realism and the cast are all highly watchable - especially Jonathan Michael Trautmann as the misguided Kevin.

Superb film! Absolutely compulsive, and a view of some peoples real lives! One of the best films i've seen, and in the top twenty most memorable! After waiting for a while for a 'great' movie to come along, i chose this on the offchance!

Starts of very slow, as it lays the scene for the worst night in the young teens lives and how their choices effected not only their lives, but that of those around them. The movie does not get going until 12-17 minutes in. The dialogue and some of the acting seems stagey or contrived in some parts, like a stage play/ drama. Dre's cousin/ friends character is very 2D and simplistic, and the blonde girl's performance at the eend was not very believable. However Dre was very well acted, as was the brunete friend and restaurant owner and there is a strong message at the heart of the movie that transcends the few flaws in this movie, which is a teen version of Crash.
