THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideCompared to the last film I saw, (Dark City), it would be very very difficult for this film to be any worst! So I've gone in with high hopes!
The film starts with an excursion to Mars.
'We're homeward bound baby!'
Some sort of messy liquid gets into the Excursion space ship. - God knows what it is, (because I haven't seen Species).
My initial thoughts are that it is quite a slow moving film.
'Colonel you're welcome to replace me any time you like.'
The crew come back from space and are under quarantine for ten days. ('And that means no sexual activity!')
Its quite Alien film esk in the fact that a couple of Aliens come out of a couple of human bodies.
'And then maybe you haven't learned the meaning of sacrifice?!'
'I remember Laura Baker having a bit more soul!'
'We've killed one of these f&*^ing alien things before, we'll do it again!'
'This isn't the f&^(ing X Files god damn it!!'
The scientists have some sort of machine that appears to blow air on the alien infected person! (Don't know what good that will do?!)
It turns out that the Alien species can regenerate living tissue.
The chase develops for a team member back from space with an Alien presence inside of him who goes around copulating with women and murdering them. He quickly, (and I don't know why it happens quickly) breads a whole load of children.
Eve manages to track where he has got too. - I'm not sure why Eve is in the lab..
I'm really not enjoying this film.
'Don't move, spaceman!'
There's a whole load of human cocoons.
There's an Alien 2 style part where they use their air guns to destroy the cocoons, (although in Alien Two its a flame thrower!)
Being shot in 1997 the CGI is quite dodgy in places and as is typical in a lot of movies the last ten minutes are actually quite good! (The ending is left nicely open!)
two sex charged aliens getting it onBy a customer from London , 16 Jan 2011the female alien is now a lab rat in a cage when three astronauts come back one of them turns into a sex crazed maniac fathering kids left and right the female alien has to tap into his mind to find out more about him in a telepathic way overall it was good
Sadly, not so bad it's good. Just bad.By Kia (9 reviews) from Shrewsbury , 27 Aug 2009Having seen the silliness that was the original Species I was expecting something pretty dreadful and hopefully laughable, but it was so painfully acted and scripted, so gratuitous without actually managing to be funny, that I actually considered just turning it off. I did end up watching the whole thing with a sort of car crash fascination, but I will not be putting myself through 3 or 4!
Yes this is a NOBy a customer from Portsmouth , 09 Oct 2007This film is not acted, its poor quality even on DVD. Its directing is pretty uneven. Its scenery is taken out of American Pie. The monsters are okay but nothing better than just looking at JPEGs on the internet. The storyling is pitifull and completely rude and outlandish. The script is dire need of burning. Need I say more. I watched Species and that was okay, I watched this and nearly died of lack of entertainment.
