pretty but profoundly empty...By andyknifton (98 reviews) from London , 23 Jul 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]beautiful but totally unengrossing ass kicking in ancient (rather apocalyptoesque) Thailand... wonderful fights, gorgeous locations and no soul whatsoever. people get kicked in the face, you won't care.
(Mr Jaa feature films traditionally have both plots and characters).

fight scenes worth seeing but no soul.By me2012 (3 reviews) , 12 Mar 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]I must commend the awesome and strong fight scenes and the moves are beautifully choreographed aside from that, it lacks the soul and lacks a good story line which could have made it a really wonderful film.
Uniquely ThaiBy a customer , 10 Mar 2012Visually stunning and beautifully choreographed. This film has distinctive costumes and sets that give it such as unique feel that I came away from it with a greater ability to visualise the word 'Thai'. For me these factors outweigh the bewildering plotline. However it markedly shows the difference in attitude to animal welfare between Thailand and the UK. Some stunningly bad examples of animal welfare too I'm afraid.
ong bak - opinionsBy kstroopa (1 review) , 31 Jan 2012i have just finished reading most of the reviews about the ong bak films, i would like to point out the fact that the films are all different, ong bak 1 came out first followed by the warrior king(nothing to do with ong bak at all) and last of all came ong bak 2 which honestly to me was the worst plot of all, im not saying that any of the comments are wrong im just stating my opinions, bottom line is tony jaa is no tom cruise but hes a one of the best maui tai fighters in the world, and for that reason alone i would give his films a 4-5 star for fighting, thankyou for taking the time to read my review :)
This guy can fight!By santaclaws (90 reviews) from Wales , 16 Nov 2011Though the fight scenes are nothing short of fantastic, the story is difficult to follow as it keeps jumping to different points on the timeline, which decreased the enjoyment for me. Tony Jaa is one of the most talented martial artists I have ever seen, if not the most talented.
