A rare beast a sequel every bit as good as the originalBy a customer from Carlisle, England , 18 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]John Wayne does it again as the whiskey swilling Ruben (Rooster) Cogburn in this spin off from 'True Grit', the humour is still here as is the hard nosed tough gun fights and fist fights that was the trade mark of 'The Duke'. Kathrine Hepburn plays a very good part as the ageing bible thumping preachers daughter Eula Goodnight. All Wayne fans who have not yet seen this movie (why not?) then it is a must see, get it now!

ONE OF THE TOP THREE WESTERNSBy Burnhamite (407 reviews) from BURNHAM , 18 Mar 2011A wonderful storyline, superbly directed, backgound scenery and music first class and an out of world cast, puts this movie, quite rightly in the TOP 3 Westerns. Never has there been a better chemistry between two leading stars in any film, than that displayed by John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn. No couple in modern movies has ever come close. Rooster Cogburn And The Lady is worth watching over and over again

Top actBy a customer from woking , 15 Nov 2005As with all the western films let yourself go and live it through them. For me a great and well worth the watch of both main actors.
Simply John WayneBy Paul Wright from TEESSIDE, England , 01 Nov 2005Nothing to say, you either love him or you don't but either way his films are classic.
