[Highly rated reviewer]I had never heard of this lady, & am not a lover of American commercial religion, but inspite of this you have to hand it to this lady, she is incredible. She's brash & gawdy, but has more guts & love than most of the religious networks put together. As an example of living ones faith no matter what life throws at you, she is an inspiration & this film whatever your views on life, is worth a viewing.

remarkableBy a customer from suffolk, england , 22 Apr 2006there is no doubt this woman is rather extraordinary. I had heard of her and her husband but my husband hadn't. We both found it fascinating viewing. It was sad to see a woman so self deceived and yet genuine. The good Lord broke the mould when he made Tammy Faye. I would recommend watching it.
InterestingBy a customer from hitchin, herts , 07 Apr 2006This is not normally the type of DVD i'd rent, particularly as it was about someone unknown to me, but, it was interesting adn was good viewing for 2 or so hours.
Sad, amusing insight into tele-evangelismBy a customer from London , 15 Nov 2005Fascinating look at the world of American tele-evangelism, charting its heady rise and rapid fall. Tammy Faye was the wife of Jim Bakker, whose PTL empire fell amid financial problems and personal failings. Well produced, 'warts 'n all approach' (in the VH1 'Behind the Music' style), worth watching, even if you are not familiar with all the characters.
Pure entertainmentBy Jamie from England , 01 Oct 2005You'll howl with laughter and you'll cry genuine tears as the (lip) glossed up life of Tammy Faye unfolds in this fun and at times very sad documentary. You may even sing a little song when it's all over!
HilariousBy a customer from Coventry , 09 Sep 2005Tammy Faye & the rest are all complete lunatics which is why this is so much fun to watch. If you enjoy seeing freaky tv evangelists taking themselves too seriously and making total fools of themselves, you will love this. It is cringe tv at it's finest!!
