Road to nowhereBy Gkeaney (89 reviews) from London , 14 Jul 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]Such a promising film, the trailer and description really got me interested. Very shortly into the film you realise Blair Witch was a heavy influence on it. I am no fan of Blair Witch but kept going due to the potential the film had.
Little known cast are not too bad, so cant really fault them, its the story that lets this down. Movie just seemed to have given up on it, and so should the viewer!
When our group are well into their journey on this trail the plot quite suddenly turns ridiculous, and graphic in places. The initial suspense that was built up fairly well is pretty much wasted. The whole thing descends into the madness, losing my interest. I kept going in the hope it would all come together as I really wanted to know what happened, but left severely disappointed.
Don't be fooled by the synopsis, very little on this description is explored, leaving the viewer with more questions than answers.

Utterly dire.By Laurae (2 reviews) , 04 Nov 2013Gosh, if there was a moral to this story it was utterly lost on me. Like most, I kept watching in the hope it would get better and the time already spent wasn't in vain. Sadly not, I should have switched it off after the first half hour when I first felt so inclined.

Boring & dull.By Kirstys1066 (1 review) , 13 Oct 2013The most boring film I've watched in a long time! Don't waste your time on this one, it's awful. Group of people stuck in woods being driven mad by silly music so they all kill each other which is not very entertaining either really and that sums up the whole film. Very poor. Would give it no stars if could.
Do something more productive with your time such as count the cracks in the pavement!By a customer , 09 Oct 2013Well! that was an absolute waste of my time, looked a promising film I kept watching in the hope that it would get better..... it didn't!
Interesting experiment - a road to damnationBy Sargonix (42 reviews) from Letchworth Garden City , 06 Oct 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideOdd little movie, which I would compare to the recent 'Field in England' for weirdness, though not final delivery. A simple premise of people go mad in the woods, and bad things happen in the great American wilderness. The cast are actually watchable, and the suspense is only spoiled by the corny ending. Perhaps no explanations, rather than the 'road to damnation' would have worked more. Overall I rather liked it, and it is trying to be different, so worth a look.
There is a moral built in to this great film...By JennyA (1 review) , 05 Oct 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideUnusual - loved it - 5 Stars - the music was one of many clever touches - drove me to insanity just like it did the characters - felt i was there with them - wanting it to stop, wanting to get to the end of the trail and/or find SOMETHING, ANYTHING to show what happened to the Townsfolk in 1940 but it actually was there, happening to them now same as it was back then to them. The Road to Nowhere leads to insanity just as in Life: Having no real direction and positive focus leaves the door wide open for bad things to happen. Scary...
