Superb at all levelsBy Steven Herwing from Ascot , 07 Apr 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]This is a compelling watch, even at 3 hours over the two episodes. Everyone is superb. Watch to the tense ending, you will enjoy this.
Compelling ViewingBy laneyb (313 reviews) from Rochester, Kent , 22 Oct 2013Loved this, found it compelling viewing! One of the best films I've seen with Dougray Scott. All the cast were great. Brilliant story plot and loved the format of it.
Certain scenes editedBy a customer , 01 Jun 2013I'm pretty sure that this film was edited as certain scenes were cut short (involving Alin Sumarwata in bed with her husband and when Pippa was having a wash). I hate when they do that.
TerribleBy a customer from Yorkshire , 21 Nov 2011This has little to commend it; the story is stretched out over three hours of unrelenting rubbish. The acting is OTT and it is difficult to have any sympathy for the main characters. It has the qualities of an '80s play with 2000s production values. Slow, dull and tortuous.
Gritty crime dramaBy Dungbeetle (503 reviews) from London , 11 Nov 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]Australian film shot in London and Sydney mainly. It is in two parts each nearly two hours long. The action scenes are all the more effective as they occur after lengthy character interplay. One of the best Aussie crime dramas in recent years. Not as tense as Animal Kingdom but well directed and keeps your attention. All characters are tightly drawn and well played. I understand an uncut version is available as False Witness.
Like Spooks, hate thisBy a customer , 31 Jul 2011Plot sounded good but it is far too long and has very little suspense and infrequent action or particularly interesting dialogue. Watch Spooks instead if you like the sound of the official plot of this film.
