NOT THAT BADBy bomberbone (73 reviews) from Lytham St. Annes , 30 Jul 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]not that bad at all!! After reading the reviews i was expecting a load of rubbish but instead i watched a good little film with more twists than a corkscrew. Its not a classic but i could become a cult film the cgi at the end however was bad but did not detract from the film. Dont expect a classic and you will be pleasantly surprised

Worth a watchBy LING0 (79 reviews) from Conwy , 15 Jun 2013Watchable movie that didn't give anything new but nice little story. I was stumped a couple of times with Banderas' thick accent (a la Benicio Del Torro/Usual Suspects) but found myself being drawn in by the story nonetheless.
No Bang...By CraigieBabie (8 reviews) , 30 Nov 2012Told in a flashback way with Spanish Mickey Spillane set up we join Banderas as he tries to explain his way out of something or other. I don't know what because I watched for 35 minutes and couldn't find a real plot. The problem is that we start in a room and then spend every other scene back in that room, so the film never goes anywhere. Banderas mangles his lines so much you have no idea what he's saying half the time, which is a shame because I caught one or two good one liners, which he managed to throw away by mumbling. This is the first film I've actually turned off in a while. Not recommended. It's boring. Nothing happens.
Not as clever as it thinks it isBy JayLow (122 reviews) , 03 Nov 2012So this is what happens if you ask a pubescent physics geek to rewrite Farewell My Lovely and then give the screenplay to a director who still thinks heavy rock videos from the 1980s are cool. At least that's what it looks like.
Antonio Banderas is badly miscast as the hard-boiled PI. For one thing his accent is so thick much of the complex plot is lost in his narration. Secondly he spends a lot of time looking like a geography teacher - the love scenes are particlulary difficult to watch. What William Fichtner was doing with his performance I have no idea.
Perhaps there's a really good film hidden amongst the mess here and in the hands of the Coen brothers we might have had something special. But it's trying too hard to be cool and it's really it's just not as clever as it thinks it is. My advice: go watch Farewell My Lovely.
Big BangBy Skit5 (1 review) , 04 Oct 2012Good story, but could of done with a bit more action. Mr Banderas played his part well and delivered a decent performance. Also the big Russian dude was entertaining.
