A nice little compendium piece to the ExpendablesBy TheWatchman (753 reviews) from Suburbia , 05 Jun 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]Bullet to the Head is basically a typical Stallone/Schwarzenegger film which would probably be more at home in the eighties or early nineties. Like Arnies The Last Stand it shows off what Stallone does best, i. e. grunt, look mean and generally kill people. This time hes a hitman whose partner gets killed by... well, it doesnt matter. What does is that he makes sure the bodies start piling up. Its an action film. Nothing more, nothing less. There are no great surprises here and, if you know Stallones body of work, you wont really expect much more. If youre looking for deep and meaningful character development with twists and turns and plenty of originality, move alone! If, however, you just want to see Stallone bust heads for an hour and a half, then put your brain on hold and enjoy Bullet to the Head (and quite possibly The Last Stand, as the two films seem to go hand in hand as two of a highly entertaining, if rather dumb kind).

Fun Action FilmBy TechnoHippy (108 reviews) , 08 Dec 2013Over the years I've enjoyed watching Stallone in action, his films are rarely masterpieces but they are generally entertaining and this proved no exception. In this action thriller he plays an assassin (naturally one with a code) who is double crossed after a hit. He teams up with a cop to find who set him up, it turns into a bit of a buddy movie at that point. The action is good and considering his age Stallone still has some good moves (I know good camera work helps, so don't burst my bubble!), it's fast paced from start to finish. The humour isn't quite as strong, there's continued sparring between the two leads which for the most part works, but occasionally falls a bit flat. A good action film needs a suitable bad guy and Jason Momoa provides just that, he's not the head honcho, more the muscle. He has the bulk and the moves and while he has the warrior look, he doesn't quite make the bad guy in this. I can't quite put my finger on why, I think it's because it looks like he's having fun all the way through it. Still that is forgiven for the end fight, there needs to be more battles with axes. Like the rest of the film it was great fun to watch.
67 year old Action Hero.By Gdkool (50 reviews) , 22 Nov 2013There's a lot of action heros out there and we just want to remember them kicking #ss as they were, this was a decent film but Stallones character beating up men half his age is a bit too far fetched.
Worth watchingBy a customer , 20 Nov 2013No classic by any means but overall an entertaining hour an a half. 'Rocky' seems to be feeling his age and the pace of the film matches this.
Anaemic and lifelessBy a customer , 11 Nov 2013It's only a week later and has almost been erased from my memory.
Sly was ok, he's likeable, but lacked punch and conviction.
Weak storyline, suspect you only keep watching in the hope that something exciting is going to happen.
It doesn't, and at the end of the film you wonder what it was all about.
