The best chainsaw sequel ever!By Rolland from Fife, Scotland , 10 May 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This is my favourite of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Films.
This movie has tons of gore, horror and violence centred around a plot involving a lost woman and a man who are aided by a hitchhiker and a survivalist as they are pursued into a marshy forest which is the home of a family of cannibalistic serial killers.
This is the best sequel ever! This movie will make you jump and scream.
I think this movie is made even more especially good as it has Ken Foree from the original Dawn of the Dead starring in it!
I also recommend the Original Uncut Version of Dawn Of The Dead I think these have got to be the best two films ever made!

Okay second sequel.By CHRISTOBEN (131 reviews) from Loughborough , 17 Mar 2013Not bad for a second sequel - as usual, Jeff Burr does an adequate job as director and ticks all the right boxes. It is a decent horror film in it's own right and a reasonable addition to the TCM series - it is definately an improvement on the pretentious mess that is part 2! Please be aware there is a heavily cut theatrical version out there which you should avoid!
Utterly forgettableBy brokenking (268 reviews) from Bristol , 16 Aug 2012Now I'm writing this review a year after I saw the film and I can't remember a single thing about this edition. Some might think that it is stupid to try and write a review a year after the event (and you'd be right), but every other entry in the Texas Chain Saw series has had character/moment which I remember, for good or bad. Everything that happened in this entry to the series has got lost in the malaise.
At least I can say I've seen the whole series.
texas second bestBy kizamiwarrior (85 reviews) from Ruislip , 06 Jun 2010I enjoyed this movie as i am a real slasher movie fan,but unfortunately i doubt if their is any surprises or any thing new in here, its all been done before and some what better, worth a rent on a rainy evening.
A 'fun' horrorBy Stevieboy2 (9 reviews) from Oldham , 23 Jan 2009I must admit I was dubious watching this film. As a horror fanatic, I am often scepticle of a sequel or prequel to a cult film with a vastly different cast. I love the fact that Leatherface has stayed true to their roots and cast an unknown young cast ( with the exception of Viggo Mortensen, who was unknown then). The storyline follows the usual 'kids on a road trip, have an accident and end up being chased with a chainsaw'. But un like the original and the remakes since then, this edition is actually more fun. The gore is minimised but not totally forgotte, and the tenseness is less. But the actual 'fight' scenes are more fun and you do not know whether the good guy might actually win for once. All in all the film is no oscar winner, but it is a good watch and one of the best of the chainsaw installments. Worth a watch, but probably not to buy
not badBy gaz115 (118 reviews) from Stoke-On-Trent , 21 Feb 2007Its ok to watch but not brilliant. Dont think you could ever better the first chainsaw film.
