Make your mind up Director!!!By zombiequeen79 (13 reviews) from London , 27 Aug 2013

[Highly rated reviewer]I really expected more from this film. Like a reviewer above said this movie couldnt decide what it wanted to be. So for the first half you watch a light hearted bunch of people going to nightclubs and having fun. But the second half involves gang rape. Some films are able to go from one extream to the other but with this film I found it very distasteful. I do like near to the knuckle films (my favourite genre is French Horror so its not like I'm easily shockable) but this just didnt gel together well and left me feeling uncomfortable. I really wouldnt bother renting it!

Awesome AftershockBy genghis68 (18 reviews) from Gainsborough , 01 Dec 2013To be honest, i didn't know what to expect from this film, there has been so many bad reviews, i sort of expected it to be a bit rubbish, and i was totally wrong, from the off-set, it seemed to be a little boring at 1st, just going from one rave to the next, and some mindless jokes in tow, i almost switched off at one point, then i realised it was just trying to tell a story, but then the earthquake happened, and well, i was shocked at how graphic at times it was, it was quite truthfull in many ways on how things would be like after an earthquake, well maybe not with the whole prisoner bit, but i suppose the director added that bit to add a little suspense and terror to the film, it was thoroughly entertaining with lots of shocks, and an totally awesome ending, which i think a lot of the bigger films are missing
bad movieBy Lynseylinz (15 reviews) , 29 Nov 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]As a fan of Roths previous work i am so disappointed at this pile of rubbish. As others have discussed its disaster movie/ torture movie and all over the shop. You wont invest a care in any of the characters and wont believe for one second any of the events that occur (short of the earthquake) avoid
Rock BottomBy a customer , 29 Nov 2013Utter trash. Whoever put up the money too make this bilge needs sectioning. An insult to the film industry and the suckers who rented it.
serious misrepresentationBy a customer , 16 Nov 2013Somebody actually wrote 'Aftershock is an unsparing horror of epic proportions that takes the disaster movie genre to a terrifying new level' to advertise this film. Obviously, however, this film is a dreadful clunker. The earthquake doesn't even happen until 36 minutes in. And what exactly is 'epic' in its proportions? Just the cynical misrepresentation, I would suggest. There should be a new law: blurbs advertising films should be personalised with the names of the marketers who write them. Then they probably wouldn't stoop to such gross misrepresentation.

Would not really rate on the scale.By ricoh (137 reviews) from Calne , 11 Nov 2013On the contrary to some reviewers, I thought the acting was okay, but, the film itself is not one to bring home the bacon. It's all pretty predictable, and although gory in parts, doesn't really have the effect the director is looking for. Not for me!!
