A brilliant charming film, a classicBy Sebastian Friston from Herts, England , 12 Aug 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This film may be one of the best I have seen in many years, and I am writing this in 2004.
This is a charming film with just the right amount of humor, and unlike many modern films it doesnt patronise the audience in any way. The all-star cast put on a superb performance, the writing is sharp and witty, and the plot is full, intelligent and engrossing.
This film is delightful, with just the right mix of tension, humor, action and most of all it is pure fun. This timeless film is a jewel that you will want to watch again and again!

Good solid entertainment.By a customer , 11 Jul 2013Saw this film back in the nineties and enjoyed it.
Seeing it again was a real pleasure, it has stood the test of time well.
Great cast and a good plot, what more can one ask?
Great film about a bunch of computer hackersBy twosoddingcats (269 reviews) from Kingston-upon-Thames , 04 Mar 2013Martin Bishop (Robert Redford) is the head of 'Sneakers', a computer group who test security systems....only Martin has a past and he hasn't revealed it to the rest of the group (he & a college friend used to hack into computer systems and while he was out getting pizza, his mate got arrested and went to prison...meanwhile Martin went to Canada...). However, these are 'nice' hackers wanting to improve security systems as Martin is an ex hippie, they all like helping good causes (wait until the end!). Watched it also for River Phoenix who has a smallish role here. Can't believe it's been 19 years since his death.
sneakersBy mosschops (1 review) from Alford , 13 Nov 2009really enjoyed this film being a typical female it was something out of the ordinary for me to watch as i'm used to chic flicks and although its an oldish film, I found i really enjoyed it and wouldnt hesitate in recommending to anyone.
Brilliant eveningBy KalvinChapman (58 reviews) from Leeds , 20 Jun 2009This is the kind of film you'll watch more than once. In 1992 it must have been even better. One of River Phoenix's better films just before he died.
The technology, even for 1992, kind of makes up bits to help the film along, but the story & plot are very good, the acting even better.
Definitely a good evening in.
