Hammer Horror classicBy TopDollar (89 reviews) from North Wales , 28 Mar 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]This is the fifth or sixth of Christopher Lee's Dracula movies. The storyline is predictable as always, but even so, it's one of the Hammer classics and thoroughly enjoyable - yes we have the obligatory 'bat on a string' bouncing up and down, and lots of other corny effects, which would have seemed far more hi-tech in their day! Dennis Waterman and fiance Jenny Hanley go in search of his brother, and of course end up at Dracula's Castle (do these people never learn?) Christopher Lee gives his usual great performance as the vampire Count, and the whole movie seems very 'BBC' and a little stereotypical. Maybe that's what makes it so great to watch. It's probably not as good as the previous Dracula offerings from Hammer, but still worth watching... especially with the lights down, candles lit, and a bottle or two of wine... red of course!!

dracula looking his bestBy rendlesham (24 reviews) , 13 Oct 2012a strange film - really low budget, dennis waterman, rather staid and claustrophobic BUT has christopher lee looking his best ever and with a lot to say...for that it's interesting but it's certainly not as good as many others such dracula prince of darkness
Typical Hammer Dracula!By Giz (264 reviews) from Coventry , 01 Aug 2010If you love Dracula and the Christopher Lee movies then this is for you! Shame the stories are all the same however ..... just different actors in some parts!
Still Got It.By filmsaremypassion (149 reviews) from Bexhill , 16 May 2010I rented this out for my mum as she adores Hammer Horror movies. Scars Of Dracula may not be terrifying or even scary but whenever Chrisopher Lee appears on screen, he has that comanding yet unsettling presence. He talks in this one, he has the most powerful voice that sends shivers down your spine. Along with Lee, there is Dennis Waterman giving a alright pefomance and so did the other co-stars. It still got that gothic and creepy feel that sets the mood along with a dramatic score. So if you like good old Hammer Horror movies, give this one a try or rent it out for enjoyment.
Fang tasticBy Stu7978 (16 reviews) from Havant , 11 Jun 2009This a classic hammer movie.
Dracula comes back from the dead once more in the 5th of the siris for hammer. There is grate atmosfear to the move with the ever grate Chris Lee in the lead. Patrick Trouton the 2nd doctor who also stars.
If you are looking for a grate horrer film with atmosfear then this is one for you. I loved it.
