1 star - only because I cant give zeroBy a customer from Chelmsford, England , 11 Feb 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]This has to be the worst sequal of all time. I wasn't hopeful when I realised it was about cousin Eddie and not the rest of the Griswolds but Randy Quaids character in the rest of the series was one of the better ones so I thought I'd give it a try. Not a single line to laugh at. It could well have been written by the monkey in the opening sequences. At one point they actually used the line 'look at all those people down there - they look like Ants' 'They are ants dad - we haven't taken off yet'
Instead of cousin Eddie living in a hovel with a tribe of a dozen redneck children he is living in a respectable house with a single annoying smartass child who knows everything.
He then gets bribed with a free island vacation and the only way they can tie the film up as Christmas Vacation 2 is by having all the characters say 'Merry Christmas' at every opportunity.
The only time I laughed was watching the trailers from two of the previous vacation series.
Difference in class? - Wider than the grand canyon. Leave this film alone.

Awful, Truely AwfulBy Hotscotjimi (9 reviews) , 20 Dec 2012If you liked the origional Christmas Vacation steer clear of this one. Of all the characters they could pick to make another movie from the origional they pick the one who is the least liked. The movie was shockingly bad. The slapstick comedy was not funny at all and the special effects are about the only laughable part in the whole movie. Never rent this movie EVER, should never have been made.
No word invented to describe this debaucle of a film!By MrFlibble (3 reviews) from Sennelager , 02 Nov 2010This is possibly one of the worst films I have ever had the misfortune to watch, I only managed 10 mins, and thats 10 mins of my life I cant get back! This movie is a cancerous polyp on the anus of humanity. And thats me being polite
AAAGHBy a customer from Mansfield , 03 Nov 2009If this review saves one person from renting this then I will not die in vain. A very poor imitation of the first National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. This one is a real turkey, spare yourself the agony.
direBy nikkipud (6 reviews) from Barnsley , 17 Feb 2009This is just a terrible film. Nothing else to say.
Eddie's OKBy GrannieJas (6 reviews) from London , 12 Feb 2009This film was good. I love cousin Eddie but I don't like it as much as the original films. I thought that his wife and his son were really good in this film too.
