Badly Acted, Poorley Written?By Seddon from London , 20 Apr 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]I remember Babylon 5 as being well written with good actors, a space drama, (I was a hooked fan and watched it every week without fail). I don't know if I was just younger then and easier to please. But this spin off, I just don't like it. The acting is terrible, the writing is bad (and this is supposed to be a programme with great writing).
Disagree or agree, one thing is for sure, it was either directed really badly or no effort was put into this, it didn't seem like they really wanted this show to succeed. It might have got better as the show went along, but they needed to hook us earlier or they would have had a better chance of not getting cancelled.

So Far So GoodBy a customer , 03 May 2011I Found Crusades to be quite entertaining so far Between Episodes 1 & 12.
im just waiting for the final episode #13 to give a full review on the searies.
Ended Too SoonBy ChrisRW (2 reviews) from Basingstoke , 17 Oct 2009Was a great continuation to the B5 series. Loved the characters, loved the story and loved the acting. Only down side was the fact that they never got to finish the story. Another series would have been great.
Babylon-waste-of-spaceBy a customer from London , 18 Nov 2008Missed this first time round. Really wish I had missed it this time round as well. Doesn't compare to Babylon 5, its originating series, and the years have not been kind. The recent Battlestar Galactica does this sort of stuff and a hundred times better. I have given this 1 star, simply because they gave Edward Woodward a job for a bit and he is usually good value. Avoid like the Drakh plague!!!
shame they didn't give this a chanceBy a customer from Birmingham , 18 Nov 2008OK so watching this you are struck that the first season does not match up to Babylon 5 season 1, but lets not forget that even die hard B5 fans have to admit that series one was far from perfect.
However it must be said that Crusade IS a disappointment but after a slow start it gets better with three episodes that display the potential lurking within. The episodes where they are in a city with something nasty lurking in the shadows, the episode with a dying empathic alien and the X-Files spoof show that this series could have been every bit as diverse as B5. But for whatever reason the plug was pulled and it's a shame. Had it continued JMS could have given us another great 5 year story arc and that would have lead to another series featuring the Rangers (so rumour has it). So give Crusade a shot, you may be pleasently surprised but left wanting more.
Avoid - really poorBy a customer from Herefordshire, England , 02 Nov 2008I could not give this 0 stars because the grading system would not go lower than 1.
