[Highly rated reviewer]Wow! restless natives. I last saw this film about 15 years ago and pretty much most of it has stayed in my head throughout that time. this is truly an unsung hero of scottish film making that should have been top of the recent List magazines top 100 Scottish films instead of not mentioned at all. Ridiculous I admit but also really hilarious. and how surprised was i to find out that i have actually known the writer of this film for the past few years and never knew the link. I have been told of the horrendous legal distribution nightmare that Hoffman had with this film that has apparently put him off making anything else. That is a very great shame. Wherever you are sir, please hear your countrys plea - come back and show the rest how it is done.

Restless.. I wasn't!By Kel79 (12 reviews) , 21 Feb 2012I forgot how good this film was, I'm glad I decided to watch it again!! If you've not seen it before give it a go, I know it's 'old' but it's worth a watch.

restless nativesBy breeto (1 review) from fraserburgh , 15 Jun 2010this film is just as good and certainly entertaining as it was the very first time I seen it back in 1986. The soundtrack by Big Country is also legend...excellent movie !!
Hilarity for all agesBy a customer from Carnoustie, Angus , 26 May 2010We all loved this film for its smart humour and observations of human nature. Such a laugh... a great, early, but not out-dated, venture from Michael Hoffman. And the age-range of happy viewers? 13 to 85!
