A CLASSIC MOVIE WITH CLASSY ACTORSBy ARTHUR DAVID TARLING from MIDDLESBROUGH ENGLAND , 09 Sep 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]AS GOOD AS TITANIC WAS WITH CAPRIO AND WINSLET - THIS ONE , NOT SO SPECTACULAR BUT WITH TOP PERFORMANCES . THE NATURE OF THE BEHAVIOUR AND THE CONVERSATIONS COME MUCH CLOSER TO THE TIME WHEN THE TRAGEDY OCCURED . SIMPLY THE ACTORS LIVED CLOSER TO THAT ERA AND THAT IS REFLECTED IN THEIR PERFORMANCE - LOVED IT ! JUST TRY TO NAME ONE BIG SCREEN ACTOR FROM OUR TIME WHO CAN SPEAK AND ACT LIKE CLIFTON WEBB ?!

Well worth watchingBy a customer , 26 Aug 2011I've seen a number of films made about one of the most famous disasters at sea and this one is pretty good and is worth watching.
For a film made in 1953 the acting is good and is a fair representation of what happened on that tragic night nearly 100 years ago.
very goodBy Aimzz (20 reviews) from Birmingham , 11 Aug 2011loved the film but which one is the most relevant one to what actually happened got me asking the grandparents loads of questions.
Titanic Details 1953By vjck (32 reviews) from Birmingham , 07 Dec 2010very good film which gives a better atmosphere of the times then the more modern version its like a b+w photograph that gives the scene different aspects
Great filmBy Cato (772 reviews) from Lydbury North , 29 Nov 2010Haven't seen the latest Titanic effort, but this is sure to be up there in the best of the efforts about the subject.
A titan of a film...I think notBy surreyfilmlover (34 reviews) from Surrey , 03 Jul 2010This 1953 Titanic film seems to me to be a mix of the classic 1958 'A night to remember' and a mix of James Cameron's 'Titanic' from 1997. It combines fictional stories interlaced with actual happenings on the fatal voyage. It was OK but nowhere near a classy film as 'A night to remember'.
