[Highly rated reviewer]This is sort of a remake of the last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth, but with no jokes and an extra twist. We spend a day in an Israeli army outpost following the two lead characters struggling to synchronise their expectations from each other. Certainly not a stereotypical setting for a gay romance. Considering that the film was probably shot in a day with no budget, it is fantastically smooth and effortless as the tension builds towards the final 'death charge' scene. All characters are wonderfully cold and emotionless, what an unusual treat, culminating in the last scene, when Yossi meeets Yagger's family for the first time - at Yagger's funeral and as a complete and ignored outsider.

Short but sweetBy Scottie86 (21 reviews) from Essex , 07 Aug 2013A short but sweet movie, well acted which makes the difference as most 'gay' films are terrible, nothing too OTT, def worth a watch
Nowhere nearBy Thegaycritic (125 reviews) , 23 Mar 2013as good as Yossi - maybe I would think more of this if I hadn't seen that first. And it was a very short movie. Some tender moments though.

Budget film...By a customer from OXON , 15 Mar 2012Starts off well but doesn't really go anywhere or do anything. It's well shot and it's well acted but there is no plot to speak of at all
Gay Film in war at times a slight boreBy Discodazzer (4 reviews) , 05 Mar 2012Short and sweet but nothing amazing.
Probably be better on stage than as a movie - basic and cheap quality of filming which made it harder to get into it, story was ok, plot was interesting enough with some good thought provoking moments but ending was rather predictable. All made for Sunday afternoon viewing rather than something you must see.
