[Highly rated reviewer]Couldnt get into this. Domestic strife where the Cambell Scott character cant quite bring himself to asks his wife if shes having an affair because hes scared to confront her as doing so would confront himself and their marriage.
I know many people dont talk about what theyre feeling or thinking but this was just a bit much. Cambell has an imaginary character who he can talk to but this took the film in a psychological direction which sometimes seemed sinister and other times boring. Its all competently made but I didnt really care what happened to any of the characters. Would have stopped half way through but its an Alan Rudolf film and he deserves an hour and a half of my time.

Intriguing and weird!By a customer , 22 Jan 2013Dr Dave should be renamed St Dave! Weird, funny sometimes disturbing. Leary is as creepy and obnoxious as ever. Intriguing film!
Watch Out for Your Double!By Cato (772 reviews) from Lydbury North , 11 May 2012Intriguing story which rather reminded me of an Eastern European story by Gogol I think, in which a doppelganger follows his unfortunate victim around.
The Secret Lives of DentistsBy Writergirl (6 reviews) from London , 06 Feb 2011I'm a big Hope Davis fan and this film didn't disappoint. A compelling tale of a marriage in trouble, and great on how kids impact on relationships. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the lead characters, who often worked together, have real chemistry on-screen. Not one for those who like their action fast and furious, but a lovely slow-burn story, well acted and beautifully shot.
Subtle but brilliantBy a customer from Welwyn Garden City , 17 Mar 2009A melodic film, interesting characters, some really funny moments which are very unexpected.
Quite weird, I liked it.By Tom Stickland from Stroud , 26 Mar 2008I enjoyed watching this. It is quite odd, with a lot of tension. It's also rather funny in my opinion.
However, I can't really think of a single reason why I'd recommend it to anyone.
So, not for those who require simple entertainment.
