Wonderful Wonderful film - don't let is slip past you because it has no marketing budgetBy a customer from London , 30 Jun 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]I'm not one for offering high praise very often... but on a BA flight i stumbled accross this absolute gem of a movie.
Robin Williams plays Paul Burnell a down on his luck travel agent who's savings have been spent on finding someone who can help his wife (Hunter) who is afflicted with what she thinks is Tourettes. On finding a corpse in a dumpster he has the ingenious thought of setting up an insurance scam for the $1million life assurance on his brother who upped and left a few years earlier. Throw in a couple of part time hitmen who want their corpse back, an insurance investigator who smells his chance of a big prize and promotion to NY, A Psychic phone line opperater, and long lost brother turning up out of the blue and you have one of the best intelegent comidies if the last few years and one of the funniest i've seen for a long while. Hunter is amazing as Maggie with several laugh out loud moments. I urge you to see this film as it deserves to be seen.

Stoke that fireplace.By a customer , 29 Oct 2011Only Robin could pull this off, and in those temperatures, it was always a possibility I expect. Bit oddball, and none the worse for that.
ExcellentBy a customer from Hants , 25 Mar 2011If you like the Coen Brothers films you'll love this too.

Greatly Underestimated.. Top NotchBy BluerayFan (5 reviews) from Leeds , 19 May 2009Stumbled across this film quite accidently after getting free tickets from a friend for an early cinema release... Well worth a watch, very dark comedy moments, with great character portrayals from both Robin Williams and Woody Harrilson.
I cant say to much, as its one of those films that even if you say a few small things about the plot, you can completely spoil it...
So i will simply say... Give this one a go... i very much doubt you be disappointed... Its a great film...
Impressive AND forgettableBy Boatthink (76 reviews) from Burton , 29 Apr 2009I was bowled over when I saw this deep, profound, moving, funny, insightful tale of true love and insurance fraud. Now, a week later, I can hardly remember what I thought was so good about it. If it is true and insightful, it obviously isn't true enough... Very entertaining in a classy, compassionate, witty kind of a way, but not as deep as it at first appears. Much like romance in general, I suppose. Er, girls, wanna see a movie?
The Big WhiteBy NickdSaint (3 reviews) from Bournemouth , 16 Feb 2009Really atmospheric with all the snow and fabulous scenery!!!
Holly Hunter's really outstanding as the bored wacko housewife who uses anything she can to get some attention, including supposed turrettes! Robin Williams and Woody Harleson also in brilliant character modes all the way through!!!
great performances from 'the young couple' as the so-so sign of reality in the piece - but they're just as wacko as everyone else!!!
FABULOUS!!!!!! My wife and I are still larking about saying the hilarious cathchphrases and linked actions even now - over a week later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
