[Highly rated reviewer]I'd reccomend this for established fans of Babylon 5 but if you have not watched at least a few of the series, stay away.
The film is essentially a prelude to the series but as one of the main enjoyments of the series is the manner in which the ongoing plot unfolds, this film tells you too much of what is to come.
As a film, it doesn't rate highly but as an addition to the series it works fine.

Very good movie for Sci-Fi Buffs and a family filmBy AllFilms (1 review) , 05 Jan 2012Very good if you are into Sci-Fi, but still a worth while watch as it does have a story as such and good special effects for the day
Babylon 5- In the Beginning... leave it for the endBy munchkinraves (23 reviews) from London , 09 Aug 2011I thought this Babylon 5 film was quite good;however, in retrospect, I think had I known a bit more about the series, I would have enjoyed it more..
It is a good film to watch if you like sci-fi;however, it will be much better if you knew a little about the series first..
One of the better TV moviesBy MrAndyC (91 reviews) from York , 07 Sep 2010Most of the B5 TV movies are pretty dire and pale in comparison to the TV series.
In The Beginning is an exception to the rule. It is much better written than its successors and comfortably sits alongside the TV series.
Nothing special but essential viewingBy Rooster72 (17 reviews) from Doncaster , 04 Nov 2009Thought I'd watch this first as I plan to re-watch the series and would like to do so in the correct order. Despite production values not being great, it gave a good insight into how the whole thing started. It's nothing special but is essential viewing if you liked the series.
