Lovely locations
By Brookie (54 reviews) from Polegate , 06 Aug 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
The locations of the film sets were very good however, it was poorly made with muffled sound and the reporter was very cringy at times with moments when he was trying to renact parts from the films and making a bad job of it. Also his relationship with the female reporter was incredibly uncomfortable. Overall, it would be interesting for Potter fans but purely only on a location point of view- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)Ghastly..in the words of Ginny Weasley!
By a customer , 03 Mar 2013This was so awful! Don't even try to watch it. The whole dvd was poor and amatuerish. I have never given such a low score to a dvd before. The only good things in it were the owls..who tried to escape and the boa constricter who tried to squeeze the presenter.- Was this review helpful to you?

SHOCKING, it was like a badly filmed home video.
By Lennyemmy (1 review) , 29 Nov 2011I love Harry Potter and was really looking forward to seeing this, however it was terrible. The presenter was shocking and didn't know anything about what he was talking about, he even got names of people and places wrong. It was like a badly filmed home video, wasn't worth the time at all. Very disappointed!- Was this review helpful to you?

Did you get a first?
By MissDisappointed (4 reviews) , 15 Oct 2011If you enjoy learning about the history of buildings and historical sites around Britian, then this will be enjoyable for you. I am a Potter fan and enjoyed seeing the locations and what they really are. Don't expect fantastic cinematography though. It's obviously a budget production from a third-year-media degree student. (Well done Alice.)- Was this review helpful to you?

Shockingly bad
By Louisemtoc (4 reviews) , 01 Sep 2011Shockingly bad in every way, the cinematography looks like it's been done on a camera phone (and not a very good one at that), the sound and lighting is also awful. As is the editing. But more importantly: A 5 year old could have done a better job of presenting this. Neither the presenter nor the guide seem to know much about Harry Potter. Both keep getting facts wrong. The presenter at one point says 'this is where Quirrill comes in and says theres a troll in the dungeon..etc, then Dumbledore shouts prefects take all the boys back to their dormatories..' (apparently there are no girls at Hogwarts, despite the fact that he's just been talking about Hermione). They talk (on and on and on) more about things like Alice in Wonderland, Henry VIII and snakes than they do about Harry Potter (which would actually be interesting if they cut these bits down a little) and they hold lengthy conversations with each other with their backs to the camera repeating themselves several times. The presenter keeps calling Hedwig 'Hedge-wig' and calls werewolves 'wee-er-wolves' ...I could go on and on for about 40 minutes listing every little thing that was incorrect or really badly filmed or researched or presented but I'm not going to waste any more time thinking about this DVD that was so bad I am actually UPSET other than to say it's sole saving grace is the brief glimpses of a few of the locations...although I've been inside Gloucester Cathedral countless times throughout my life so I wasn't really very interested in that bit... and the presenter was SO bad and misinformed that any enjoyment I got out of seeing inside these locations was sucked straight out of me, he was really distracting. I'm aware I'm being hypocritical by going on and on and on myself and repeating myself and repeating myself and repeating myself and I've probably not spealt everything right but GAAHHH what a waste of my time this DVD was, so so annoyed I'm actually irritated.- Was this review helpful to you?

A MAgical Tour of Harry Potter Country
By a customer from Bridgend , 27 Aug 2009Really there is not much to say......I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, but this film is AWFUL! Actually I found the presenters so bad that I was embarrassed for them - and also amazed that someone allowed this movie to made available to the general public - really, don't waste your time by even putting it into your DVD player!- Was this review helpful to you?
