superb.........By williamsgwynfa (627 reviews) from gwaenysgor , 11 Mar 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]this film is superb. It stars Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon.
Devastated upon receiving the news that her husband, has been killed in a tragic car accident, a woman wakes up to find him still very much alive, as she begins to slip into a confusing world, where the past and the future become increasingly difficult to distinguish.
Linda Hanson was an average housewife with a loving family, but when a policeman comes knocking on her door with news that her husband, Jim, was involved in a fatal car accident, Linda's world slowly begins to unravel.
While her grief is at first overwhelming, Linda assumes that the whole thing was nothing more than a vivid dream, when she wakes to find her family still very much intact.
With each passing day, however, Linda's reality shifts and her circumstances grow increasingly surreal; one day Jim is dead and the next he is right there by her side.
As her investigation leaves her convinced that her husband's death wasn't a dream, and that her picture-perfect life may not have been quite as flawless as she thought, Linda embarks on a mind-bending journey to prevent her grim premonition from becoming a reality.
Now, in order to save the man she loves, Linda will have to piece together a perplexing mystery that seems to span two separate planes of reality.
well worth renting out.

Amazingly Boring!By a customer , 03 Apr 2013What a total bore! The DVD player turned itself off at about 1 hour and a bit into the film. We couldnt get it to turn back on and to be honest we didn't even care to try more than once! To be honest I think the DVD player was as bored as we were so it gave up and saved us the electricity! The film doesnt keep you gripped at all, yeah it leaves you wondering what is happening but not enough to really care why!
My premonition is you'll rent this film next...By Rainbowfam (15 reviews) , 12 Mar 2013Wow!!! what a mind boggler, very sad story but really gripping. Must see this film. Sandra Bullock once again shows us how much of a fantastic actress she is.
Premonition interesting except for the plastic eyebrows!By MissyEdge (2 reviews) from England , 20 Jan 2012This was an interesting story line,,,trying to combine Sliding Doors with Ground Hog Day but not succeeding in the remarkable way they both did. Saying that the final message if obtained through the mire of grasping plot lines,is a fine message indeed. Sandra Bullock is such a warm actress but the chap playing her husband really needs to sort out his peculiar eyebrow problem,,,problem is I can not concentrate on anything else when his head is in the frame except for the plastic looking eyebrows!
Enjoyed trying to work it out!By a customer , 11 Jan 2012
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideIt kept me guessing right to the end what may happen! What a twist! Was really disappointed with the ending! Could have been a better outcome! Sandra Bullock was excellent.
A bit of a predictable premonition experienceBy Alison31 (72 reviews) from Eastleigh , 22 Nov 2011
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI quite enjoyed this on the whole, however as always something had to spoil my viewing pleasure, and this time around it was the fact that I pretty much guessed the ending about halfway through the film which is nt great when watching a film thats supposed to keep you guessing and in suspense. Despite this there were quite a few moments that I was nt expecting, and Sandra Bullock was great as always. It was good to see her in something other then a cheesy rom.com and she more then lived up tp my expectations.
I think there could have been more content and more to explore, there were a few scenes that i wished were expanded on as they did nt really make sense (i.e when Sandra B's character is sectioned, and then she wakes up to experience the day before, her hospital admission is never touched on or even mentioned again..... does that mean she was able to avoid that situation eventually through her premonitions?)
On the whole, a good watch.
