A good watch. Kept my interest, though a little disjointed in parts. The special effects were very good, as always. In my view the acting was excellent - particularly so given the age of the leading actors/actresses. I believe it was always J. K Rowlings intention for the books develop in terms of their themes and issues. Clearly she has done so as this is the darkest of the films so far. As to the 'Did my wife stay awake throughout?' test - yes she did, even though she does not like Fantasy, hence the 5 stars.- Was this review helpful to you?

Certainly lacking something the earlier films had
By Bassman71 (617 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 19 Mar 2012Sixth year at Hogwarts for Harry and his pals, finds a mysterious book, helps Harry through classes, learns about Voldemorts past, has feelings for Rons Sister, Draco acting stranger than normal, gets complicated.
After enjoying the other films this one felt a bit of a let-down and seemed to drag which hasnt happened before with the others.
Whether or not this is the love-phase entering the story or blatantly ripping off Lord of the Rings in some scenes Im not sure but it certainly was lacking something the earlier films had.
SFX are as good as ever as is the music and they really are the best thing in an otherwise disappointing instalment.- Was this review helpful to you?

Very dark indeed!
By denis007 (132 reviews) , 18 Mar 2012Interesting story but very dark (in every sense of the word). Definitely better than the others in the series! I enjoyed seeing Potter fighting with Draco as well as the relationships between the characters which seem to be developing to a certain extent, hence my interest in it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not that bad actually
By Beanie891 (54 reviews) from Sutton Coldfield , 03 Feb 2012enjoyable but getting a bit formulaic - it is a good film though and the characters are growing up - makes you feel old!- Was this review helpful to you?

Same old
By Lissie7777 (3 reviews) , 12 Jan 2012One of the better of the Harry Potter movies. But as with all the movies in this series it doesn't do the books any justice whatsoever.- Was this review helpful to you?
