Shame about the voive oversBy a customer from Carlisle England , 21 Dec 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Once you get past the dodgy American voice overs given to all of the actors, The White Dove is an intriging & Captivating film, with a star performance from Antonio
Wish I'd read the reviews!By LL23 from SWANSEA , 29 Jan 2005I was very very disappointed - I thought I was renting a Spanish film. I'm glad other people thought the dubbing was terrible. I've learnt my lesson, always check the reviews before renting!
Damn dubbing!By dahlia79 (6 reviews) from Newcastle Upon Tyne , 11 Jan 2005I also gave up watching this film after about 10 minutes due to the quality of the dubbing. Dubbing is distracting enough when you know what the actors actually sound like but when the dialogue is this bad it makes it unwatchable -plus, what was the deal with changing the names of characters (I don't think 'Betty' and 'Steve' are that common in Spain!).
I'd heard that it was a good film.......so a bit of a disappointment.
You'll get no peace from this doveBy ricci from Exeter , 23 Dec 2004I think this is probably a quite good film. Certainly, the subject matter is interesting and it's always a treat to see an early Antonio Banderas film. I'm not a fan of dubbing, anyway, but I have to say that whoever was responsible for doing it on this film should be shot.
The film was completely ruined by the dreadful dialogue.

Dubbed unfortunatelyBy Magnaminous from London , 25 Jul 2004To make it short: I didn't watch this film because it is dubbed (and rather badly at that). It's also a cropped pan & scan version which doesn't help. especially since this is supposed to be a rather good film. Shame.
